Luminox looks to the legendary American WWII fighter plane designed by Lockheed as inspiration for the newest addition to its Pilot watch collection.

The Luminox Air Pilot P-38 Lightning watch lives up to the storied fighter aircraft that heroically served during WWII in both the European and Asian theatres.

With a 42mm steel case, the P-38 timepiece has all the attributes of a classic pilot’s watch, including the easy-to-read dial in black with white Arabic numbers and stainless steel mesh strap.

A nod to the traditional B-Uhr navigation watch of the 1940s, just below the 12 o’clock position is an upwardly pointing triangle with two dots providing quick orientation and the ability to read the time at a glance. With a GMT function in the interior dial ring, the watch is powered by a Swiss-made Quartz movement.

As with every other Luminox timepiece, it incorporates Luminox Light Technology, making sure that your timepiece is visible in any light conditions for up to 25 years. The piece is available in three dial options and choice of mesh bracelet or strap.

Feared by the enemy because of their manoeuvrability, even at high altitudes, the fighter earned the nickname, The Fork Tailed Devil, by the Luftwaffe. The new Luminox Air Pilot P-38 watch pays homage to both the design and functionality of this iconic airplane.
